Meet Blair
Twenty-two years of helping couples feel ready for the moment that matters.
Blair Petterd has been teaching and choreographing wedding dances since he was eighteen. Over the past 22 years, he has guided hundreds of couples—from complete beginners to confident movers—through a first dance that feels natural, personal and true to them.
His own career began in ballroom and Latin dance at eight years old and has taken him onto national and international DanceSport floors representing Australia and New Zealand. Today, that depth of experience is translated into clear, reassuring guidance for couples who simply want to feel comfortable when their song begins.

How Blair Guides You
Clear enough to feel prepared.Personal enough to still feel like you.
Blair begins by listening—how you feel about dancing, what your song means to you, how much time you have and the kind of moment you want to create.
From there, he breaks the movement into manageable layers, adjusting the pace, level of detail and choreography as your confidence develops. Nothing is added simply for the sake of looking impressive.
The aim is not to make you move like someone else. It is to give you a structure that feels comfortable in your bodies, natural in your relationship and realistic for your wedding day.
- Begin with a conversation
- Build the dance in manageable layers
- Refine without overcomplicating

What It All Leads To
So when the music begins, the dance feels familiar— not rehearsed.
The goal is not perfection. It is knowing how to begin, feeling able to recover if something unexpected happens and having enough confidence to keep your attention on each other.
That is what all the preparation is for—not a performance to get through, but a memory you can actually be present for.
Prepared enough to let go.Connected enough to enjoy it.

The Next Step
Your first dance begins with a conversation.
Share your wedding plans, your song and how you want the moment to feel. Blair will listen, answer your questions and help you understand what level of support will suit you best.
